Let's Get Political

Here's how it is. During mid-term elections, most people seem to plug in and tune out. The big elections are usually the presidential ones. Maybe its because we feel a greater sense of involvement when it comes to presidential elections, even though we don't really elect the president (see Electoral College). More importantly the mid-term elections are closer to the heart of local affairs. Ballot measures, levys, governors. If you are registered to vote, don't vote and complain later you have 0 rights to your complaints. You should have voted. There are too many swing voters out there to just sit back and assume everyone else will vote the way you want without having to sit down at the kitchen table and decide for yourself. If you feel disconected from the process find a way to get involved. Start by voting.
